Julietta Appleton, MPA, CLC, CHT, CCE, has a successful life coaching and hypnotherapy practice based in New York, where she resides most of the time. Julietta was her own first hypnosis client: Unable to fly for over 20 years due to crippling anxiety, she now happily travels the world, finding humor and joy in just about everything. She has helped hundreds of people overcome their fears and limiting beliefs, allowing them to create positive change and achieve their goals.

She possesses a Masters degree in Public Administration (health track), is a certified life coach, certified hypnotherapist, and certified childbirth educator.

Currently, Julietta is working on a book for women, “Reclaim Your Libido,” a result of the work she has done with women for over 30 years. She expects to finish it by the end of 2012. She frequently writes and edits health-related articles.

Julietta exhibits and sells her quilts and glass vessels in a variety of venues, and is available for commissioned artwork upon request.

Julietta is one of the founding members of Hudson Valley Birth Network, one of the founders of Montreal’s first rape crisis center, and is the founder and former director of Westchester County, New York’s, first freestanding birth center. She has helped establish and operate two postpartum doula services, and has worked with countless individuals and couples as a sex educator, childbirth educator, birth doula, and postpartum doula. Both her children, now grown, were born in birth centers with midwives, and Julietta continues to be a fierce midwifery advocate, writing thoughtful, eloquent, outraged letters-to-the-editor and various state and federal agencies when the need arises.

Her friends believe she should have a stand-up comedy act, and while she is flattered, she is not sure how she could fit this into her already busy and happy life.
